Snap Kitchen’s Clean Start Juice Program

I’ve never believed in dieting and eating healthy isn’t part of my routine. Food is my life. Between the steak dinners and dessert tastings, why would I ever consider a juice ‘cleanse’? With a change in pace, I’ve started exercising and adding new activities to my life and figured it was about time for a detox.

I pulled myself together and embarked on Snap Kitchen’s one-day Clean Start Program, which involves six cold-pressed juices a day. I’ve never been a fan of juice or sugary beverages that aren’t carbonated. And upon receiving 6 bottles of freshly pressed juice, I was intimidated and reluctant. And food deprivation for a whole day didn’t seem humanly. Snap Kitchen recommended me to drink all 6 bottles in one day, one bottle per 2-3 hour interval; but I’m not use to drinking that many fluids so I divided it over a period of three days.

Snap Kitchen’s One-day Clean Start Program

The idea behind juicing ins that it allows your body to quickly absorb high levels of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, which giving your digestive track a much needed break.
THE SUPER GREENS JUICE

contains kale, spinach, romaine, cucumber, celery, parsley and lemon juice. A sassy and slightly sweet green juice that gives a hardcore palate cleansing kick!

ENERGY BOOST

Papaya, watermelon, lime juice, mint leaves and coconut water. My “AM Sunrise” juice with zippy citrus flavors. Spicy and sweet that woke me up form the inside out!

ANTIOXIDANT JUICE

Apples, carrots, cilantro, jalapeno, beets, garlic, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Peachy pink smooth and sweet with a spicy kick – hydrating and packed with Vitamin A!

CARROT GINGER ELIXIR

Carrots, apples, ginger, and lime juice. Simple flavors from carrots and apples make this a lovely way to hydrate in the morning. The fresh pressed ginger-infused juice wakes up your taste buds and refreshes your palate.

My choice of beverage while working out to Insanity!

SPICY BASIL LEMONADE

Basil, water, lemon juice, palm sugar, and cayenne pepper.  The healthier version of a mojito with a spicy kick. Tempting to not add rum to this!

CASHEW PROTEIN SHAKE

Raw cashews, water, agave nectar, sea salt, vanilla extract and cinnamon.  Creamy and spa-like – zen of the tummy and yoga for the spirit

Clean Start is not so much a “cleanse,” but rather prepackaged vegan and gluten-free juices designed to meet all of your nutritional needs while giving you enough energy – and calories to get you through your busy day. Snap uses the cold-pressed method to make their juices, which includes blending the entire fruit or vegetable at the lowest possible temperature without any further processing. The juice is “pressed” rather than blended, which results in the maximum retention of vitamins and minerals.
Most juice cleanses consist of six juices a day – pressed, raw, unpasteurized juices made from fruits and vegetables, with no sugar added. Start the cleanse immediately, because the juices’ nutrients allegedly begin to deteriorate after three days.
